KAZAKHSTAN PROJECT DEFINITION
Procyon Oil & Gas have provided facilities and cost estimation support as part of a focused client team for the initial evaluation and selection of an alternative development plan for enhancing liquids production from a world scale sour gas condensate field. Procyon also assisted the team in selling this alternative concept to the client management and to partners before introduction to the joint development project team. Assistance was also provided in restructuring the project design basis after FEED.
The scope of the services provided includes:
- Detailed review of the current expansion concept
- Detailed review of historical cost data and concept cost estimates
- Definition of process system packages and pipeline networks for multiple options evaluation with a large range of potential production profiles
- Interaction with subsurface group to advise infrastructure constraints on production scenarios including gas recycling scenarios
- Cost estimation and expenditure phasing for input to economics
- Sensitivity studies for variation of number and sizes of process trains
- Option selection
- Presentation to client management, partners and joint project team
- Review of conceptual design contractor’s implementation of changed design
- Review of conceptual design contractors cost estimates
- Restructuring to project design basis following FEED

The client was able to supplement its in house expertise with an external resource on a small focused team evaluating the benefits of an alternative development strategy and demonstrate the benefits of that scheme to management and partners prior to introducing it to the project development team. They were also able to draw on our resources for an unbiased update of the project design basis following FEED
